Dario Moffa
Dancer and Teacher

His personal artistic pathway began with the theatre along with contemporary dancing, from contact improvisation and dance theatre to climax in Sensitive Dance and Argentine Tango, thus creating a fusion which he “baptized”  Sensitive Tango.
He is the artistic and didactic director of Essentia and collaborates with other cultural associations.

Theatre

He took part in numerous laboratories with : Zigmund Molik ( The Grotoswky Method), Prospero Richelmy (The Stanislavskij Method), Nikolaj Karpov (The Mejerkold Method), Danio Manfredini (Theatre Dance)
He has performed personally in two shows: “Yiddish Dances and Tales” and  "Texts for nothing” Beckett – produced by Zigmund Molik

Contemporary dance
As from  1996 he studied contemporary dance with:
The  Eskené Company (Doriana Crema, Aldo Rendina, Federica Tardito, Irene Pulzoni) Paola Colonna and Cristina Dalla Corte.
He took part in numerous workshops and weekly residential study laboratories with:

Benno Voorham, Ivan Wolfe, Monica Francia e Gabriela Morales (contact improvisation), Michele Abbondanza e Antonella Bertone (Theatre Dance), Raffaella Giordano e Hervé Diasnas (Contemporary Dance).
He danced in the contemporary dance show  : "Apriti cielo" by Mariachiara Raviola , presented in 2005 at  “La Piattaforma”, contemporary and research dance festival.

Tango
His Argentine Tango has its origins both in Italy and abroad studying the various styles and expressiveness of : Gustavo Naveira and Giselle Anne, Chico Frumboli and Eugenia Parrilla, Pablo Veron, Rodolfo and Gloria Dinzel, Federico Rodriguez Moreno, Sebastian Arce and Mariana Montes, Gaston Torelli and Mariela Sametband, Pablo Kliksberg, Christophe Lambert and Judith Elbaz, VIncent and Marilyn, Leo and Eugenia, Javier and Geraldine, Osvaldo Zotto and Lorena Ermocida, along with many others.


In July of 2003 he produced the contemporary dance and tango show Tango: zero hour,  presented in 2005 at “ La Piattaforma”, contemporary and research dance festival, of which he and Cristina Dalla Corte were the choreographers.

In December of 2003 he presented a short piece entitled,  “Tango Marmalade”, in a Dance Show named , “Io Danzo”, ( I Dance).

Dario and Cristina Dalla Corte worked hand in hand to develop a nourishing path that incorporated Argentine Tango with other artistic forms of dance, which were presented to the public at the beginning of 2004 in three performances at the “Milongateatro”.

In July of  2004 and in december 2006 he attended an intensive “updating course” held for professionals in Buenos Aires by the renowned, Gustavo Naveira and Giselle Anne

December of 2004 saw the presentation of two Tango performances in Turin, one of which was housed inside, in the historical “Caffè San Carlo” in the heart of the city, the other was outside, in an open air performance in the famous picturesque “ Piazza Vittorio Veneto”, one of the most fascinating squares to be found in the city.
These performances have been recorded on a DVD,  entitled, Tangoin / Tangout .
In november 2006 performed with Monica Bozzano during the opening of Luci d'artista renowed event dedicated to contemporary arts and organized by the municipality of Turin.
In December ‘06 danced in “Io Danzo Trolley Festival” event organized by Coordinamento Danza Piemonte - Coorpi.
In April ’07 Dario and Monica performed in “ T come tango”.

Dario’s experience in  Sensitive Dance , starting in the 90’s , with Claude Coldy, has completed with a three year training professional course that has certificated him as teacher of Sensitive Dance. Tuition was given in Claude’s studio and  natural surroundings that develop contact and awareness with nature, such as The Sea (Maratea), The Desert (Sahara Marocchino) and Olive Groves (Tuscania).

He is councillor in the board of director of “Coordinamento Danza Piemonte – Coorpi”, a cultural association that groups together and supports dancers, choreographers, dance tutors/teachers, and professional figures that work in the Piedmont area

Dario, since 2004, is the organizer and Dj (musicalizador) of the Milonguita del Remo in Turin.
